BCN x 3

A third wind tunnel within the extended area around Barcelona is about to open. After Windoor in Cornellà (metropolitan area of Barcelona) and Empuriabrava (Girona), a new tunnel will power up in Sant Fruitós de Bages (near Manresa) in the very near future. Located at a drop zone that is marketing itself as Saltamos Village, the tunnel is an outdoor TORNADO model.

The installation has been completed ten days ago and the new facility is undergoing tests, with staff being trained at the same time. Pre-sales are on and bookings can soon be made here.

The drop zone where the tunnel is located operates on weekends only because of the COVID-19 fallout. We have very recently published a report on the current situation of indoor skydiving around Spain, concluding that all facilities, without exception, are affected by a range of restrictions that the health authorities impose. Whether the deteriorating economy will also impact the skydiving business remains to be seen. For the time being, measures like limiting group sizes to four, six or ten - depending on regions - and imposing curfews seem to outweigh the other considerations.

We will address this in the upcoming edition of THE VISION newsletter. Sign up for it at the bottom of the page!
